About the firm
Homan Taghdiri is a California-admitted attorney with more than 25 years of transactional and litigation experience across commercial real estate, corporate and business, hospitality, and intellectual-property matters. He founded Taghdiri Law Office in 2001 and also serves as Of Counsel to SMTD Law LLP.
Earlier in his career, Homan served for a decade as general counsel to a real-estate development and investment company, where he worked across acquisitions, dispositions, due diligence, architectural planning, construction, financing, sales, and operations in multiple states and oversaw a team of six attorneys.
His practical business background includes acquiring and managing companies, creating operating systems, and overseeing commercial and residential developments. As founder of Invictus Hospitality, a full-service hospitality and business consulting firm, he advises restaurant, bar, nightclub, and hotel owners and operators on concept development, operations, profitability, guest experience, and growth. This perspective allows the firm to understand not only what an agreement says, but how it will work in the real world.
Homan has also served as a neutral mediator in business, hospitality, and real-estate disputes. His approach emphasizes early understanding, direct communication, and creative resolutions that avoid unnecessary litigation expense whenever possible.
